Ear Candling

Thermal auricular therapy, aka ear candling or coning is an ancient healing remedy practiced by the Hopi people (among other ancient cultures) for thousands of years. An ear cone made of unbleached cotton dipped in beeswax and herbal extracts is placed at the at the opening of the ear and burned, funneling smoke into the ear. The process is very calming and serves as a catalyst for clearing and healing of the ears, sinuses, head and shoulders. Ear candling is gentile enough to be administered to anyone from infants to elderly.

Indicators that may benefit from ear candling:

  • Cerumen (ear wax) overproduction

  • Mucus overproduction

  • Congestion in ears/throat/sinuses

  • Allergies

  • TMJ or jaw tension

  • Tinnitus (ringing of the ears)

  • Headaches/migraines
